Pregnancy Calculator

Calculate important dates for your pregnancy

Our pregnancy calculator allows you to calculate important dates for your pregnancy, such as your current gestation, your Estimated Due Date (EDD), and when you should schedule Ultrasound Scans (after consulting with your midwife or Doctor).

To use this calculator please enter ONE of the following: Your EDD; or if you don't know that yet, you can enter the date of the first day of your last period.

Estimated Due Date (EDD)

If you have already had your first Ultrasound scan, you will likely have been given an EDD. Enter it here (dd/mm/yyyy).

1st Day of Your Last Period

Use this option if you don't already have an EDD. Enter the date of the first day of your last period (dd/mm/yyyy).

Understanding Your Due Date

A pregnancy due date is typically calculated as 40 weeks (280 days) from the first day of your last menstrual period. This is based on Naegele's rule, a standard way of calculating the due date for a pregnancy.

It's important to remember that only about 5% of babies are born on their exact due date. A normal pregnancy can last anywhere from 37 to 42 weeks. Your healthcare provider may adjust your due date based on ultrasound measurements.

How the Calculator Works

Our pregnancy calculator uses your last menstrual period (LMP) to estimate:

  • Your estimated due date
  • The current week of your pregnancy
  • The end of your first trimester
  • The beginning of your third trimester
  • Recommended times for standard ultrasound scans and optional private scans such as 4D Bonding Scans
