Sonographer - Part Time / Contract / Casual
Due to increased demand for our services we are looking for a part time sonographer to join our small, friendly team. We are a proudly locally owned ultrasound imaging business, using 2016 new Phillips Affinity ultrasound machines. Each ultrasound room has a separate family viewing room for large groups wishing to view the scan, to provide our sonographers with a distraction free environment. Our reports are verified remotely and there is always a radiologist to consult with when required.
Currently, we require cover for Tuesdays and Thursdays, hours are negotiable and there is the option of starting later in the day and working after hours. Other days also negotiable. Saturday morning is also available. Due to demand, we are looking at expanding our clinic, therefore, full-time work is also an option in the future.

Job tasks and responsibilities
- Performing optimal quality scans as per our protocols, in accordance with ASUM/ASA/NZMFMN guidelines in a friendly, professional, relaxed environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Producing quality preliminary reports.
Skills and experience
- Must be competent in general, obstetrics and gynaecological scans. MSK an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent client/patient communication skills required.
